Magon Scott was a Clan Goliath Scorpion warrior and later Khan of the Empire.
History
Magon Scott was choosen as Khan of the Escorpión Imperio in 3137. The Imperio and the Hanseatic League had been fighting each other for decades, and, in 3139, after a group of Seekers (Clan Goliath Scorpion) was found by Hansa forces on their planet capital, Bremen, saerching for Star League relics and slaughtered, he knew the moment to war had arrived. Scott proved his cunning: he could have ordered the Scorpions forces to go to war, but in place of that, he allowed all castes to vote. The response was unanimously favorable: the Imperio will go to war, not only the Scorpions. The Hanseatic Crusade had begun.[2]
Scott led the Crusade well, using almost all the Imperio's touman. He didn't participate on the fight, which generally went well, not until the Wave 5. Then, he created a new Galaxy, Grunt galaxy (Escorpión Imperio) taking forces from all other garrison clusters, and decided to finish the Hansa attacking B remen, with five Galaxies, including Grunt. The battle, both in space and in the ground, was hard fought: the Hansa leading officer, Captain-Marshall Rudolf Schmidt, was a cunning leader, and losses were growing. Finally, the 12 October, Scott, which lead Alpha Galaxy, made the key move. He led the attack on the capital, facing a Hansa Stalker. The Scorpions weren't able to penetrate into the city, but the Khan expected it, and, while they tied down the defenders, he sent a head hunting attack, with several points of Elementals penetrating in the capitol, led by Star Captain Luko. Scott expected than the capture of the Council of Merchants will put a down to the fight. He was proved right... but not as he expected: the council, before surrending, made blow the capitol, killing countless civilians, Hansa defenders and Scorpions. However, Schmidt surrended to save lives, and Bremen fell into the Scorpions the same day. After pacifying all the Hansa worlds, Scott anounced the formation of the Scorpion Empire.[3]
The 22 May of 3151, after a terrorist attack blew the Clan Council Chamber, Scott went to a hospital to have a meeting with the Star Colonel Peter Noye and Galaxy Commander Emmy Line, both wounded in the attack. The Khan wasn't there only to see her, but also to talk with Line about the Empire's internal problems: the faction of tradionalists, or Preservers, were giving trouble for their contempt to the lower castes, causing terrorist attacks, and the situation was only worsening. To protect the civilians, Scott wanted to make a reform to the Empire creating a new position, the one of ZarKhan, and he wanted Emmy to become the first. But to do so, the Khan wanted to weaken the Preservers, reduxing their numbers in the inevitable Trial of Refusal which they will launch to oppose the reform. Emmy reluctantly agreed.[4]
In the next weeks, the Khan faced at least a trial of Refusal, killing the commander of Tau Galaxy. His rank allowed him to reject many of the challenges, however. Once the votation was over, Magon faced another Trial of Refusal. In this one, Scott led the Imperial defenders, surviving the trial unscathed and becoming the reform a reality.[5]
