Ezra Bradley was a Colonel in the Eridani Light Horse and its leader, when it was the 3rd Regimental Combat Team of the Star League Defense Force, and later the unit’s first leader as a Mercenary command, for several decades.[2]

History

Star League Era

Ezra studied in the SLDFWar Academy of Mars circa 2734.[3]

During the Amaris Coup, Ezra led the 3rd Regimental Combat Team in the war. As leader, he oversaw the ceremony of victory on the planet Zebebelgenubi of the Terran Hegemony on the 12th od November 2722; remembering the presents the cost of victory. The same day, he meet with Major Astrid Karlsson and her friend Maeve.[4]

After the ELH leaved Zebebelgenubi, Ezra was contacted the commanding officer of the SLDF, Aleksandr Kerensky, from the WarShip McKenna's Pride. Kerensky congratulated him for his work on that planet, but denied his petition to stay on it before sending his unit to another battlefield.[5]

The 25 November 2774, Bradley meet with Astrid again. During the battle of Carver V his conduct reminded her of the importance of ethics and honor.[6]

After the end of the battle, Ezra saw Astrid and gave her his condolences for her friend Maeve's death.[7]

After the end of the war, on 15 February 2784, Ezra meet with General Kerensky on Terra. He attempted to convince the General to stop the launch of Operation Exodus, in vain. Forlorn from his failure, he departed from the planet with Astrid.[8]

The 8th of July the same year, Ezra, on planet Radstadt, transmitted a message to all the ELH's units and the SLDF forces departing to inform them about the SLDF's departure. He also signaled his intention to stay behind in the Inner Sphere while keeping their honor and ideals intact. Upon finishing, he lowered the Star League's flag. During the First Succession War, Ezra broke the ELH's contract with the Draconis Combine after hearing about the Kentares Massacre. Enraged at the Combine’s wanton slaughter, he lowered the unit's flag on their headquarters of Sendai, before leaving. That led to the Sendai Massacre.[10]

On 2853, Ezra, now a hundred years old and in a wheelchair, still lead the ELH's when they were stationed on Circinus, in a de facto occupation of the Circinus Federation, under contract of the Free Worlds League. He knew about Circinus' defenders, the Black Warriors were in reality a group of Pirates, but cannot do nothing about it. He was carefully grooming his potential replacements by making all regiment commanders serve as the Pro-Tem Colonels in turns. When it was Idris Majed's term while leading the 71st Light Horse Regiment, the Black Warriors launch a series of raids into the Lyran Commonwealth. he uncovered the scheme and destroyed the Black Warriors unit working with them.
