After their unit defected, refounding the Tamar Pact, both sons remained loyal to the Commonwealth, but were anyway cashiered out of the LCAF. Stranded on Garrison, they contacted their father asking for help. Gardner answered them via JumpShip message, the 29 October 3151, showing them their support and congratulating them for making the right choice. He also send them lines of credit and local assets they can sell. Ironically, by then they don't needed them to return home, but their father's assistance helped them to solidify their newly resurrected mercenary unit, the exctinct Gray Death Legion.[4]
