The Dawn Guards were an assault 'Mech regiment with an aerospace wing, manned by Republic volunteers with ancestral ties to the Federated Suns.[3]
History
The Dawn Guards was an assault regiment created by the Republic of the Sphere Exarch Devlin Stone, in 3146. As part of his alliance with the Federated Suns First Prince Julian Davion, Stone created the regiment choosing solsiers from the RAF all with ancestral ties to the Suns. All were volunteers to became part of the Federated Suns' armed forces, and were gifted to Julian.[4] The Dawn Guards participated on Operation PERCEVAL, send by Julian Davion to attack the Dragon's Tongue world of O'Fallon. After fighting there the Wolf's Dragoons Wolfsbane Battalion, in a short but decisive battle, they forced the mercenaries to depart, returning the planet to the Suns.[5]
