Overview[edit]
Taurus WarWorks was one of the premiere weapons contractors of the Taurian Concordat. They were assigned with the task of developing the Concordat's first native BattleMech, the Toro. The development of the Toro started with a unit that mounted primitive systems, but ended with production of a variant that would have been home on the battlefields of the Succession Wars.[1]
Their close ties to the Taurian Concordat's intelligence structure allowed them to gain information regarding BattleMech technology much faster than other Taurian weapons manufacturers. At the time the company was also run by the Concordat government, which also helped it win the TDF's procurement contract with the Toro.[2]
The primary factory on Taurus discontinued production of the Toro in 2598.[1]
