Talk:Children of Kerensky

Referenced Fiction[edit]

Now that's a nifty idea that surprised me. I like it. However, I still feel it's too subjective - you're essentially pointing out how Children of Kerensky is one of a bunch of interconnected stories leading up to Hour of the Wolf and the ilClan era. It might be better to describe this in a section called 'Notes', as 'Referenced Fiction' boils down to all of BattleTech that came before. Frabby (talk) 01:16, 21 October 2020 (EDT)

Given how the BT fiction works by tying back into itself quite often.. I kinda feel that Related Fiction is basically EVERYTHING. sa becomes semi redundant.--Dmon (talk) 12:51, 24 October 2020 (EDT)
That was my idea and I don't have a problem if the information is renamed or moved elsewhere with more explanation. However, I do think it is necessary in this case. More than any other Dark Age fiction, CoK unites or concludes disparate storylines. CoK is special in that regard and that fact needs to be mentioned in the article. It is shocking how much is referenced and/or resolved here. What Endgame resolves is nothing compared to CoK. I am not complaining – I think Pardoe is extremely deft and it is some of his best work. However, CoK really is different in this regard. --Ebakunin (talk|contribs) 19:05, 24 October 2020 (EDT)
