Sergei "Deaths Head" Veng was a member of the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns famous for surviving a fight against the Black Widow Company.[1]
History[edit]
Vang became a MechWarrior circa. 3001. He first tangled with the Black Widow Company on Sakhara V where he sustained injuries that lost him all the hair on his head, and left the skin dry and taut. This bald and scarred visage led to his nickname, "Death's Head", and has since developed a reputation for brutal training programs. Refusing retirement he was transferred to the Meistmorn Academy on Doneval II as an instructor. Some years later in 3021 he and his cadets were ambushed by the Widows again, marking him as one of the rare individuals to twice survive a fight with the Widows.[1][2][3]
He also the subject of the song "The Apprentice's Lament", and appears in the graphic novel "Finals" written by one of his students, Patrick Morgan.
BattleMech[edit]
Vang is known to pilot a Shadow Hawk.[1][2][3]
Notes[edit]
Wolf's Dragoons would not enter service with the Draconis Combine until 3023, making the second meeting with the Widows in 3021 impossible. While almost certainly an error, no errata has been issued yet.
