(Attacker) Duchy of Andurien |
(Defender) Independent worlds |
Operation REBOUND was an expansionist campaign by the Duchy of Andurien against the remaining independent worlds that lay between it and the Regulan Fiefs.
Overview[edit]
In March 3148, as the Free Worlds League mounted an invasion of the Regulan Fiefs, the Andurien Defense Force began moving into the unaligned region of space between its realm and Regulus. Most of the target worlds succumbed to Andurien with minimal or no resistance from planetary militias and pirate gangs. The only notable fighting took place on Eleusis where the Fourth and Fifth Andurien Cavalry drove the Third Marik Protectors from that world.[2] [1]
Of the thirty-one nonaligned systems situated between Andurien, Regulus and the League, REBOUND ended with eleven of these - Cap Rouge, Cole Harbour, Eleusis, Guangzho, Hudeiba, Kanata, Meadowvale Scheuerheck, Siendou, Skvorec and Yanchep - being annexed to the Duchy before the ADF ended the operation.[3] [4] The possibility of an attack from its rimward quarter diverted the Regulans' attention from their war with the Free Worlds League, and contributed to the latter's eventual triumph in that conflict.[5] [2]
