Major General Mary Cunningham was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's XLIII Corps as of 2764.[1]
History[edit]
Commanding a Corps based on Canopus, Cunningham lead from a fortified headquarters outside of Crimson City. She was worried about the impact on military readiness of the recreational facilities available to her troops within the Magistracy of Canopus, and therefore cracked down on leave passes, soldiers going AWOL and excess partying. While this did improve the preparedness of her unit, it won her the nickname "Mary Killjoy" amongst some of her more disgruntled subordinates.[1]
Magestrix Vanura Centrella however found Cunningham to be affable, preferring to deal with her over her gruff superior Admiral John Soong.[2]
