Lady Mariette Dunbar was the planetary leader of Ares VIII by 3025[1] to at least 3036.[2]

Mariette Dunbar's son Alisander spoke out against one of Chancellor Romano Liao's purges in the presence of a Maskirovka informer and Mariette was subsequently replaced by a Refrector to oversee Ares. After the Refrector's death in 3065, Mariette's grandson Adrian was reinstated to their family's holding by then-Chancellor Sun-Tzu Liao.[2]
