Lara Chu was a Draconis Combine MechWarrior. She fought in the Seventh Ghost Regiment's disastrous 3150 invasion of Emporia.[1]

By the late hours of 18 April 3150, Lara was one of the last remaining MechWarriors of the Seventh Ghost Regiment. For that reason, she was assigned to the lance of her commanding officer, Tai-sa Takeji Yoshizawa, for his final attempt to capture planetary heir Mason Ritza.[1] During the attempt, the lance engaged Ritza's guards, cadets from Ritza Academy. Cadet Jasper Roux felled Chu's 'Mech in the clash.[2] Once the remnants of the Seventh discovered that Yoshizawa had led them to Emporia under false pretenses, Chu was extracted from her fallen 'Mech by lancemate Taka Nagano. They withdrew, leaving their rogue commander behind.[2]
In October 3150, the Draconis Combine announced that it had captured and executed all remaining members of the Seventh Ghost.[3]

For about a week during the Emporia invasion, Chu piloted a Rokurokubi.[1]
