History[edit]
Clan Invasion[edit]
Prior to the Clan Invasion, the Kooken Reserve Militia was filled with retired LCAF officers who found they liked life on Kooken during their service and returned there. The Clan invasion shifted the border of the Federated Commonwealth farther into the Lyran interior making the Reserve Militia became a much more important force.
Periodic Clan raids where suffered by the planet, but the regular AFFC forces (or mercenaries) took the first line with the Militia never being called.
Its first and last notable action on July 3055 was against the Red Corsair's pirates. The raiders first forced the battalions of the First Robinson Rangers RCT into a near-routed retreat and then went to shatter the militia unit as the raiders quickly subdued them without giving time to the Grave Walkers to arrive to help them.[1]

When randomly determining experience levels, increase the result of every third roll by +1. When facing a Clan force, the Reserve Militia receives a –2 penalty to all Initiative Rolls. When fighting bandits, they may use the Off-Map Movement special ability (see p. 192, Tactical Operations).[1]
