History[edit]
During the defense of Sarna in 3029, Karl Browne led a support lance of medium BattleMechs with the Third McCarron's Armored Cavalry. MechWarriors under his command included Charlie Gratum, Parker Scammell, and Roger Venters.[1]
The Fifth Syrtis Fusiliers accelerated away from their planetary invasion force and landed two days early on May 27, only to find themselves outnumbered four-to-one and faced traps, minefields, and other Capellan tricks from the local militia and McCarron's Armored Cavalry. Support elements of the Fifth, composed mostly of mercenary units, landed on schedule and went to ground to hold out as long as possible for AFFS reinforcements. Six months later, the mercenaries made their last stand at Graves Hallow.[2]
On December 1, an assault lance from the Crater Cobras, led by Lieutenant Fiona Fields, had been separated from its company in the hills and chose to attack two lances of McCarron's Third Regiment—one of them commanded by Karl Browne—while anticipating reinforcements from a Davion Light Guards strike lance about to make planetfall.[3]
BattleMech[edit]
Karl Browne piloted a CPLT-C1 Catapult.[1]
