Colonel Juan Pablo Diaz was the commander of the Narhal's Raiders Mercenary unit from at least 3145 to 3152.[1][2]
History[edit]
Diaz, with the Narhal's Raiders, was based on Tybalt as of 3145 while under contract with the Federated Suns.[1] Later transferred to the recently liberated world of Mara, with the hope of a quiet garrison assignment to allow for rebuilding, Diaz and his unit were however subject to a Draconis Combine counter-offensive in 3151.
Resolving to do his upmost to hold the planet despite being outmatched by the attacking Sixth Benjamin Regulars, Diaz fought a defensive war of maneuver, trading space for time and leaning heavily on his limited aerospace fighter assets. Successful for a time despite suffering significant losses to his BattleMech forces, Diaz was finally forced to order a retreat off-world, after his aerospace fighters were tracked to their next planned improvised landing strip and destroyed on the ground by a hovercraft and VTOL-borne DEST commandos raid.
Having more personnel than equipment after his defeat, Diaz was promised by Davion officials the Raiders would receive replacement machines, but without a firm date for when the might become available. Accordingly as of 3152, Diaz and the Raiders were still awaiting refit, and only able to field a single Battalion in the meantime.[2]
