Jonathan Pershing was the commanding officer of the Rasalhague Military District's Rubigen Prefecture as of 3025.[2]

History[edit]

Tai-sho Pershing commanded the Rubigen Prefecture, located in the Draconis Combine's Rasalhague Military District in 3025. Simultaneously, Pershing was commanding officer of the Ninth Rasalhague Regulars and was stationed on Hyperion.[2]

Ronin War[edit]

When the Free Rasalhague Republic was formed in March 3034, Pershing and the Ninth Regulars joined Marcus Kurita's effort to overthrow the Republic and invaded the world of Engadin on 31 March. Pershing's troops quickly took the planet's HPG station, killing half of the facility's ComStar personnel in the process, before seizing the capital city's convention center and the planetary leaders within. When Valdherre Jorges Harkon refused Pershing's orders to 'cease and desist', the Ninth Regulars opened fire on the convention center. With most of Engadin's leaders dead, Pershing declared the planet to be under martial law and imposed a military curfew over the capital.[3]

Pershing's control over Engadin ended in June with the arrival of the Second Genyosha, who caught the Ninth Regulars completely off-guard by landing in radio silence while travelling aboard merchant DropShips. The first sign the Ninth had that they were under attack was when Genyosha artillery destroyed their barracks, followed closely by air strikes that annihilated their command center and sent the unit into disarray. By the end of the first week of June, the Ninth Regulars had been mercilessly hunted down by the Second Genyosha and were officially confirmed destroyed.[1]
