The Hangmen were one of the many operating on Solaris VII[1] prior to its absorption into the equally struggling Renegades Cooperative in 3061.[2]

History[edit]

As of 3051 the Hangmen Cooperative had suffered a series of defeats against the Silver Dragon Stables, a down-slide from which many observers questioned if they could recover. The Hangmen doggedly hung on as their warriors desperately struggled to repair their heavily damaged BattleMechs and avoid starvation.[1]

Ultimately the Hangmen could struggle no more and agreed to be absorbed into the Renegades Cooperative in 3061, the merger allowing the Renegades to regain its footing and rise up the Solaris rankings, if only briefly.[2]

Operations[edit]

As of 3051 the Hangmen boasted eighteen MechWarriors and had just enough 'Mechs for its warriors. At this stage the cooperative was not very choosy about who it admitted, just paying the initiation fee was enough. Unfortunately the Hangmen's poor reputation at the time meant few wanted to join them.[1]
