History[edit]
Early life[edit]
Fuhito was assigned to the Seventeenth Benjamin Regulars in March 3023 and served as a reconnaissance company commander during the Battle of Galtor. After the Combine's defeat there, Tetsuhara outspokenly defended Benjamin Military District's Warlord Syovo Yorioshi to the inquiry board. When Yorioshi was subsequently declared an incompetent coward, Fuhito was himself punished with demotion to Chu-i and a transfer to the disreputable Eleventh Legion of Vega.[1]
Service under Theodore Kurita[edit]
Reporting for duty at the Legion's base on Marfik in December 3027, Tetsuhara was noticed by Theodore Kurita, his regimental commander and heir to the Combine throne. A pupil of Fuhito's father, Theodore conversed with Tetsuhara about his family's current doings before questioning him about Galtor. While Theodore inwardly lamented Fuhito's unguarded frankness, he was also impressed by the man's honorable conduct and offered him not only command of First Battalion's recon company at his former rank, but also the Tetsuhara family 'Mech Katana Kat.[1]
Fourth Succession War[edit]
When the LCAF hit Marfik in the opening days of the Fourth Succession War, Tetsuhara provided Theodore with accurate information about their Steiner opponents as the Eleventh harried the Fourth Skye Rangers and an overwhelmingly superior number of armor and infantry regiments. After a month of grinding attrition, Fuhito was among the Legion members escaping with Theodore to Vega.[2]
On Vega, Fuhito assisted Ninyu Kerai-Indrahar and Tomoe Sakade in infiltrating and seizing a Lyran supply depot at Cochus. Later he helped ensure that Theodore's subordinate commanders in the Legion of Vega carried out his plan that ultimately saw the LCAF forces driven from Vega.[3]
The 3030s and the Ronin War[edit]
Following the war's end, Fuhito accompanied Theodore to his secret meeting with Primus Myndo Waterly; remaining hidden in the park trees he signaled Theodore that she had arrived alone. Later he vouched for his brother's former aide Michi Noketsuna when Ninyu vocally objected to Theodore's plan to use Noketsuna's connections to raise new soldiers from the yakuza. By this point Theodore considered Fuhito to have grown into a seasoned officer and a superior tactician.[4]
When the Ronin War erupted in 3034, Fuhito had been promoted to Sho-sa and was serving in the Ryuken-ni. Entrusted by Theodore with Operation Guillotine, the loyalist assault upon the ronin's supply depots, Fuhito hit the largest concentration of supply dumps on Alshain and proved the superiority of Theodore's new tactical doctrines over the old-school methods used by the Fifth Rasalhague Regulars.[5] [6]
War of 3039[edit]
When Theodore Kurita attacked Exeter as the final target of his Operation OROCHI, Fuhito served as the pilot of his BattleMaster and kept the Kanrei alive while he directed the overall battle.[7]
Hastening to Luthien upon hearing of an assassination plot against Takashi Kurita, Fuhito arrived after Theodore had saved the Coordinator's life. As the Otomo's commander had committed seppuku, Theodore granted temporary command of the Coordinator's bodyguard to Fuhito.[8]
BattleMechs[edit]
For much of his early career, Fuhito piloted his family's Panther, named Katana Kat. During the Ronin War and the War of 3039, he used an advanced BattleMaster provided by ComStar.
