Donegal Apple-Pear is a prized fruit grown on Donegal, which was exported to other worlds such as Chahar.[1]

The cultivation of Donegal Apple-Pears was susceptible to frost damage, with unseasonable cold weather able to decimate crops, disrupting supply and increasing prices.
An example of this occurred around 3063, during the FedCom Civil War, when a late freeze destroyed much of the early season Donegal Apple-Pear crop. The resulting temporary disappearance of the fruit from markets on Chahar, caused panicky rumor Donegal had fallen to a Federated Suns assault, though their reappearance some weeks later at higher prices settled the wilder stories.[1]
