The rumor mill suggested that Sergeant Ball was no MechWarrior, but rather a Solaris VII MechBunny who charmed someone powerful. Ball was bubbly to the point of irritating and was perpetually decorated with riotous clothing and hairstyles, making her impossible to miss. Even Ball's closest comrades didn't know if this was her real personality or an elaborate act. Ball's deadly marksmanship both in and out of the cockpit suggested that she had academy training, although every story she told of her past conflicted with the one that came before.[1]
