Overview[edit]
a "large contingent" of mercenaries in the employ of Federated Suns was sent to raid Spica in 2970, with named commands in the action including Brighton's Irregulars, Deidre's Destroyers and Gunther's Grenadiers. The mercenaries were surprised and all but destroyed by the Red Lancers together with the Prefectorate Guard, netting the defending Capellan Confederation forces sixteen salvaged 'Mechs of all types.[1]
