Prelude[edit]
Following the successful attack on the Duchy of Andurien world of Conquista, the two units moved on to Andurien itself. Unfortunately for them, this time the First Free Worlds Legionnaires were waiting for them, and angry.[1]
Overview[edit]
Almost immediately after the two Trinity units disembarked from their DropShips, they came under attack from the First Free Worlds Legionnaires. Under commander of General Tracey Fenton, the Legionnaires began containing the Trinity troops with ruthless efficiency.[2] First subjected to sustained artillery and aerospace bombardment followed by advancing echelons of armor, BattleMechs, and infantry the formations were battered from the start. The initial focus of the attack were the Dragonslayers who stood against the withering fire for a time but then broke and retreated off world. Their attention now solely focused on the Marshigama's Legionnaires, General Fenton forced them to retreat as well ten hours after the Dragonslayers quit the field.[1]
Aftermath[edit]
Battered and in desperate need of funds, the Dragonslayers left the employ of the Magistracy of Canopus and hired on with the Marian Hegemony.[3]
Notes[edit]
- Some sources don't distinguish between the two attacks on Conquista and Andurien, instead referring to a single attack on Conquista.[3][4]
