History[edit]
On 7 March 3074, Anjo was fighting the Word of Blake on Radstadt when the Blakists launched a neutron bomb at the capital city of Munich. Anjo was caught by the penetrating radiation. Certain to die, he volunteered to die fighting on a special mission: leading a Binary of radiation-poisoned troops through Munich for a surprise attack on the 43rd Shadow Division's DropShips. Aided by drugs that would keep them able to fight but accelerate their deaths, Anjo's new unit, soon called The Walking Dead, laid the groundwork for the destruction of most of the 43rd's DropShips in their dying moments. For their success, Zeta Galaxy Galaxy Commander Jocelyn Vong pledged that lines would be added to the Remembrance in Anjo's honor and that The Walking Dead would live on as a new standing unit.[1]
