Relatively large for an APC, the Vargr's seven ton infantry bay allows it to carry a significant amount of infantry to the battlefield, while its substantial armor protection means it's likely to last long enough to deliver those infantry.

The Vargr first appeared in the apocryphal BattleTech video game, and was subsequently canonized in House Arano (The Aurigan Coalition), where it received record sheets for both its variants.
