Saw in your most recent edit that you marked Florentine as entirely apocryphal. Problem is, that's not an accurate description. The fluff for the MWO Hero 'Mechs was ruled as canonical by Randall Bills. Which means their name, type, history and pilot as stated in fluff are fully canonical while their exact (and non-standard) configuration is canon where mentioned in the fluff, but apocryphal otherwise. Gives me headaches, too... Frabby (talk) 01:39, 28 February 2017 (EST)

:Hmm. In my opinion, in order to standardize apocryphal variants, I think adding them to apocryphal variants is the best way to do this - right now the best example of this is the work done on the Commando page as a reference. The only canon reference is the pilot in the Florentine case and in most TROs, it is either a canon variant (if it lists it) or "prime" variant that is piloted since they are foremost for TableTop use (Randall Bills is contradicting original purpose of TRO). This means that MWO and any other sources are still apocryphal for variants added to a list. The one fix I would suggest is simply the citation link, which appears to be broken. My other opinion is that stuff like mwo or any other game with non-canon variants, while they could fit on a Mech using BT construction, the changes are usually a major stretch meant only to be "good" in the game it is designed from and as cyc brought up, they are difficult to source sometimes with fluff not being consistently provided. It is too confusing otherwise we would need to create a new designation like half-apocryphal or something weird like that.Thehawk (talk) 12:04, 27 July 2017 (EDT)
