University of Canopus

The University of Canopus was a university established on the Canopian planet of Canopus.

Background

Located on the planet Canopus, the University of Canopus was one of only two universities that existed in the Magistracy of Canopus by the end of the Succession Wars. Though at the time it was closer to a technical school than anything else, the introduction of Taurian expertise in 3058 and Capellan subsidies in 3059 led to expansions and improvements for the university. By 3067 the university had gained the Magistracy's first teacher's college, the Royal College of Education, and the School of the Visual Arts.
