Trial by Chaos, by J. Steven York, is the twentieth novel in the MechWarrior: Dark Age series. It was first published in June 2006 by Roc Books and was later republished in December 2021 by Catalyst Game Labs as a BattleTech Legends title.
The novel covers the Rasalhague Dominion's peacekeeping "occupation" of war-torn Vega.
