He began by appointing himself arbitrator over the war between the Supremacy and the Grand Union; in public, he demanded that the Grand Union secede [[Azha]], Algol and Slocum to the Supremacy, under threat of a combined Commonality-Supremacy joint offensive. Whilst this was less than the Supremacy had demanded, Tucas went on to salve the Grand Union's wounds Tucas signed a secret agreement on New Hessen with the Grand Union.
