Based on Addicks, the owners of Tauken Weapons Systems were indicted for colluding with the Amaris government during the Amaris Civil War, and the company was subsequently put up for auction. The wealthy Federated Suns-based Johnston family would purchase the company, knowing full well that the planet would be hotly contested in the upcoming war.[1][2]
