Star Colonel Tamin Gurdel may have been one of the most unusual assault 'Mech pilots in Clan Ghost Bear's military. Rarely keeping his 'Mech on the ground due to his constant use of jump jets, Tamin kept his Cluster on their toes by drilling them more constantly than was normal for Clan society. He still managed to find free time, which he spent bungie jumping and engaging in high-altitude sports. Tamin's subordinates whispered that the Scientist Caste had mixed things up and that Tamin, rather than being a MechWarrior phenotype, was actually an aerospace pilot. However, none dared to mention these rumors within the Star Colonel's earshot, as he would challenge them to a Trial of Grievance on the spot.[1]
