Interesting to say the least. BattleMech technology does progress after all. A few things though. Does the Ares, being specifically made for DA, even have compatible CBT stats? A 375 XL engine that gives a maximum speed of only 10 km/h is unheard of. That is a '''running''' speed of 1 in the game. That makes it a deathtrap, even the old Atlas can get up to 50 km/h. Following the rules it means the 'Mech is more than 375 tons in mass. Or maybe tripods have a speed modifier of some sort. Is there any more data on the Ares? Manufacturer, BV, and the like?

I know WizKids have been designing 'Mechs that don't follow CBT construction rules, but this is a bit of a jump. [[User:Haruspex|Haruspex]] 06:22, 13 January 2008 (CST)

:No, there are no comparable stats. I would assume it uses some form of experimental technology, as it is actually 135 tons. Don't even bother trying to think about it. It would be nice if one of the new, forthcoming books like ''Tactical Operations'' has stats for these things, but I wouldn't count on it. --[[User:Scaletail|Scaletail]] 07:44, 13 January 2008 (CST)
