Star Commander Susan Drummond was a MechWarrior, serving with the Spirit Cats' Omicron Galaxy, and Bloodnamed warrior of the Drummond Bloodhouse, during the Dark Age Era.[1]

Personal Appereance

Susan had black hair, sunken blue eyes and pale skin. Combined with her slight build and perpetual frown, unlike many with a Clan background, her physical presence was not intimidating.[1]

History

Omicron Galaxy

Atypical for a Clan warrior, Susan preferred defensive tactics in battle and valued the lives of her subordinates over victory at any cost, even against orders. This behavior, despite her overwise elite martial abilities, earnt her the nickname "Mother Hen" amongst the members of Omicron Galaxy.[1]

Ruchbah

In June 3133, Susan formed part of a Spirit Cat taskforce assigned to capture the Michaelson Heavy Industries factory on Ruchbah, which landed on world at the same time as a Steel Wolves unit under the command of a Star Colonel Ulan.[3] Landing in the DropShip Vagabond together with Star Captain Liz Nostra, in a combat drop on the city of Rook which was simultaneous with the Steel Wolves, the Spirit Cats were able to successfully win the initial engagement.[4]

Moving to take the Michaelson Heavy Industries factory near Verlinshire, Susan and the Spirit Cats established a defensive base, but were attacked again by the Wolves from an unexpected direction across the frozen Lake Sharpe. Taken by surprise by Wolf artillery while scouting with Liz Nostra, Susan was able to alert the Cats of the approaching assault, and their entrenched base proved too much for the Wolf offensive.[5] Nostra then launched an opportunist counter-assault before either side had repaired their damage suffered, which proved enough to force the Wolves to retreat from Ruchbah.[6]

BattleMech

Susan was known to have piloted a Legionnaire BattleMech, serial number FS554-21R, nicknamed "Shield of Omicron". Built for export to the Republic of the Sphere, within the Federated Suns shortly after its formation, this 'Mech ended up with the Spirit Cats following the Blackout.[1]
