Description
All large spacecraft in the BattleTech universe fall in the category of either JumpShip, DropShip, Space Station, or Small Craft. The latter describes any spaceworthy vessel of 100 to 200 tons mass that can be docked inside a small craft hangar bay.
There are literally hundreds of different types of small craft in operation throughout the Inner Sphere and Periphery. Many, but not all, are capable of atmospheric operations. Small Craft range from shuttles and long-range craft. The K-1 DropShuttle, although built using Small Craft rules, nearly meets the criteria for a DropShip as it sports a docking collar and sits at the maximum tonnage for Small Craft and minimum for DropShips.
