More than just a [[combat vehicle]], the Schiltron uses modular weapon ports similar to those used on [[OmniMech]]s so that it can theoretically be quickly reconfigured for a variety of mission parameters. In practice, the Schiltron is designed to provide command and control, as well as fire support, and its different configurations do not stray from those principles. Perhaps its only weakness, the Schiltron only carries ten tons of armor, forcing to stay well out of the line of fire, something that a top speed of 54 km/h does not always make possible.
