==History==
Ramiel was decanted from a strain of the [[Bekker (Bloodname)|Bekker]] genetic heritage and was bloodkin to [[Angela Bekker]].  The majority of washouts from his ''[[sibko]]'' would end up placed in the [[Scientist Caste]], a testament to the rare warrior-scientist qualities this genetic combination created.<ref name="CoK4">''Children of Kerensky'', ch. 4</ref><ref name="RC16p10">''Recognition Guide: ilClan, vol. 16'', p. 10</ref>

Among Clan Ghost Bear he quickly rose to ''ristar'' status, becoming the second-youngest to ever to complete the [[Clawing Ritual]], the scars from which remained on his chest.<ref name="CoK9">''Children of Kerensky'', ch. 9</ref><ref name="IC11">''ilClan'', p. 11</ref> He had extensive involvement in the creation of the ''[[Kontio]]'' among other Ghost Bear Mechs and the ''[[Callisto (Battle Armor)|Callisto]]'' [[battle armor]].<ref name="CoK3">''Children of Kerensky'', ch. 3</ref><ref name="RC16p10"/><ref name="CoK15">''Children of Kerensky'', ch. 15</ref> Sometime later he distinguished himself well against [[Clan Hell’s Horses]] on [[Kobe]].<ref name="CoK9"/>

A staunch [[Warden]], the passivity the Ghost Bear’s exhibited upon forming the [[Rasalhague Dominion]] never sat well with him.<ref name="CoK3"/>  He had risen to [[Star Colonel]] by the time he first met [[Alaric Ward|Alaric]] on Terra in May [[3135]].<ref name="CoK4"/> By February [[3146]] he had newly tested for [[Galaxy Commander]] when Khan Alaric Ward challenged him for a [[Trial of Possession]] and won.<ref name="CoK9"/>

While a bondsman, Bekker designed the ''[[Stormwolf]]'' and he was insistent on providing [[Laser Anti-Missile System]], [[Jump Jets]], [[MASC]], and a [[Supercharger]] as fixed equipment to force MechWarriors to develop tactics based on that fixed equipment.<ref name="RC16p10"/> He designed the ''[[Amarok]]'' which he considered his crowning achievement and borrowed heavily from the ''[[Hammerhead (BattleMech)|Hammerhead]]''.<ref name="RC16p10"/><ref name="RC17p8">''Recognition Guide: ilClan, vol. 17'', p. 8</ref>  He also worked on the ''[[Crucible]]''.<ref>''Recognition Guide: ilClan, vol. 10'', p. 10</ref> Star Commander [[Ray Black]] was a military analyst on Bekker's staff.<ref>''Recognition Guide: ilClan, vol. 16'', p. 8</ref> Bekker also designed the melee focused [[Kontio]], piloting the prototype in battle himself.  Achieving victory by impaling his opponent, ''ristar'' [[Star Captain]] [[Justine]] with his claws through her ''[[Savage Wolf|Savage Wolf's]]'' cockpit the project was nearly ended with the implicit dishonor of such actions. Bekker was killed during the headhunter counterattack on March 7, in 3151 at 10:05.<ref name="CoK17">''Hour of the Wolf'', ch. 17</ref>. Ramiel would be known as a 'Mech and battle armor designer, commissioning different concepts for both the Rasalhague Dominion and Clan Wolf. His designs would continue to see use during the Battle of Terra and the [[ilClan Trial]], leading to Clan Wolf's victory. When ilKhan Alaric Ward approached the Ghost Bear Khans, he would acknowledge their help through Ramiel's sacrifice to honor his memory.<ref name=HotWc40>''Hour of the Wolf'', ch. 40</ref>
