Rae Houk was a MechWarrior with the mercenary Gray Death Legion.
History
Rae Houk was born and raised in a farming region in the Free Worlds League. Not feeling like a great beauty, Houk had her father's large, rough features and her mother's dark olive skin.[2]
Before joining the Legion, she had served in at least one other unit. The Sirian Lancers, a unit also of the FWL.[3] With the Legion, she rose in rank to major and command of the Second Battalion "Hassan's Assassins." Houk was a Legion veteran who rose to command as a replacement for a senior officer. In her case, it was not retirement that opened up a command slot but the death of Hassan Ali Khaled.[4]
She is known to have piloted an Archer in 3057[5], then a Gallowglas by 3065.[6]
