Patrick Ryan was a Baron and a General, and held command of Princefield Military Academy.
His wife's entourage was saying that the Oriente Protectorate was preparing to invade some Republic of the Sphere worlds.[1] When problems inside the Republic of the Sphere appeared, he said that the Oriente Protectorate would not attack The Republic as the Protectorate was not an aggressor state, and it would never attack the sovereign planets of another nation.[1]
