History

The League-class destroyer Palatine was a WarShip in service with the Free Worlds League and has the distinction of having been the last Block I League-class ship to see active duty with the Free Worlds League Navy. The Palatine was destroyed while leading a raid into Capellan Confederation space by a McKenna-class battleship, and the only Block I Leagues to outlive her were those few decommissioned ships that would later be reactivated and upgraded to the new Block II standard in the twenty-eighth century.[1]
