The operation was counter-invasion to repel renegade Federated Suns military forces deployed from the Capellan March from the St. Ives Commonality and take revenge for the (seemingly) killed Chancellor Sun Tzu Liao and Duchess Candace Allard-Liao.

Supporting & Independent Forces

First Wave

The CCAF organized existing forces engaged or nearby to fight delaying battles while formaly TF were assembled. The Wave starting date being October, 3068. These action accured in three prong.

First Prong

On Randar, hhe Holdfast Guards engaged and nearly wiped out the 20th Avalon Hussars, killing its commanding General Randal Hasek-Bills.[1] It had been supported by newly refitted Feng Huang Class Cruiser, CCS Ilsa Hyung. With only company in strength remaining, the 20th Avalons retreated to world of Bethel.[2]

On Aldertaine, the 5th MAC fights a brutal battle for control of the planet. It successfully pushes the 5th Crucis Lancers off world.[3] The Remshield's Dragoons and Warrior House Immarra attacked and liberated Hexare. Both units shattered the Davion mercenary force (the 4th Illician Lancers), prompting them to withdraw from the world.

Second Prong

In the second prong, CCAF forces struck worlds such as Glasgow and Overton. New Westin, was most noted for Death Commandos & 5th CRC utterly destroying the Free Capellan forces of Jie Fang Legion. On Overton, Capellan Forces force FedSun forces pull of planet, but not before annihilating 15th Dracon and its companion force of Warrior House Ijori.[6] However its survivors Ijori were able holf field to force the First Federated Suns Lancers from the planet.

Third Prong

The 3rd prong of CCAF forces attacked FedSun forces on Halloran V, Housekarle, Liao, and Homestead. On Necromo, the CCAF forces failed retake world back from Hasek's Khorsakov’s Cossacks and 2nd CRC took considerable amount of damages from the attempt.[7]

Second Wave

On October 20th, 3068 2nd Wave began; Task Forces (TFs) were now had come together and begun the Capellan offensive into FedSuns. Task Forces had assembled from worlds of Menke, Zanzibar, and Victoria.

The TF Light Horse struck worlds of St. Ives Commonality. Hitting worlds held by Davion forces such as Teng, No Return, and St. Ives. While TF Shen Lung arrived on Almach and hammered the Davion invaders. TF Vengeance moved towards the border, hitting like other TF at Davion supply lines making sure they were certifly cut off from Suns.

Task Force Shen Lung arrived on Valexa where they destroyed the Valexa CMM. Task Force Light Horse arrives on St. Ives, and engages in several week battle for the planet.

Supportive Actions

The Third MAC moves to capture Tallin, while for mysterious reasons the Word of Blake forces attack and capture Kittery. The 13th Division, eliminates both Kittery Borderers and the Kittery Training Battalion on planet.[8]

Third Wave

In this wave in beginning of January 3069, the most of Confederation's invaded worlds are reclaimed. The most dramatic of the action of the wave destruction of the Khorsakov’s Cossacks. Utilizing a Capellan WarShip, the Cossack are annilihated orbital strike on Necromo. TF Light Horse reclaims Haappajarvi[9] and Hadnall where 2nd St. Ives Lancers take moderate damage from the AFFS force there. While TF Shen Lung meets light resistence on Ashkum, with most FedSun forces having already pulled out. Frazer and Mendham are attacked by TF Vengeance as they make their way FedSun space. The Task Force efforts are assisted in this prong of attacks by 3rd CRC and Warrior House LuSann assaulting FedSun world of Manapire. Other FedSun worlds are raided to disrupt the March's defenders, such as Bromhead and Verlo.

After securing Confederation worlds, surged forward to invaded worlds of Robsart[10], Glentworth, and Wrentham. TF Light Horse claims Safe Port in prong attack into Capellan March.

Supportive Actions

From the other regions of the Confederation, reinforcements arrive in FedSuns securing worlds of Aucara, Lee, Cammal and Jonzac.

In disguise of support House Liao's forces, Word of Blake's 13th Division augmented by elements of the 41st Shadow Division's Manei Domini troopers take Denbar and Spica.[11] Leaving many in Davion thinking these were more Capellan working with Blakists.

Post-Third Wave

With the wave ending in February, Duke Hasek issues a recall order his troops after losing vital supply and many of his own worlds. Forcing to shift his troops now to counter act coordinated counter attack by both Capellan forces and their Blakist allies.

Fourth Wave

Task Force Shen Lung

In May, 3069 Task Force Shen Lung attacks Kathil, hitting the badly damaged shipyards. TF's House Dai Da Chi it suffers from critical damage from fighting its Kathil defenders. Shen Lung are able to obliberate the 8th Donegal Guards, reduce the shipyard to 10 percent operational capacity. The Task force splits into two groups and begun its "leapfrog" various systems, simply raiding systems as it moving downward to New Syrtis. Hitting the worlds of Carmacks, Cumberland, Stein's Folly, Wappingers, and reforming up at Hobson.

Task Force Light Horse

TF Light Horse faced heavy fighting on Bacum, where it used its WarShip's guns to obliterate the half of Bacum City and completely destroying its spaceport. The orbital strike was cover for the 3rd MAC's landing. The 3rd Mac fight the Gamma Regiment of the 12th Vegan Rangers. The Gamma took ninty percent damage from fight before Capellans claimed the field. The task force went on to Jaipur to hit world as well.

Task Force Vengeance

TF Vengeance moved to hit Davion worlds of Mandaree[12] amd Ridgebrook. Fighting on Ridgebrook was brutal and heavy, with world falling into Liao hands in August.

Fifth Wave, Battle of New Syrtis, and Ceasefire

In September, final wave of Thunderstrike began with diversionary assault on now twice hit world of Halloran V. This action was hold key Davion reinforcements in place while main Task Forces themselves begun hit their primary objective: New Syrtis.

TF Light Horse assaults Taygeta and forces its defenders off planet in September. While TFs Vengeance and Shen Lung drop on top of New Syrtis's six defending and battered regiments. These included 3rd Ceti Hussars, 4th Donegal Guards, 6th Syrtis Fusiliers, and New Syrtis CMM, which were being supported by mercenary regiments Borodin's Vindicators & Vanguard Legion.

In October, Light Horse in pursuit of AFFS forces, arrives in Syrtis to reinforce other Task Forces. The aerospace merencary command, the Medusans, arrives in Syrtis orbit and eliminates the Impavido Class Destroyer Zhejiang from the fight.

On the planet, Capellan and Davion forces clashed inflicted significate damage planetary infrastructure including its cities and industries.

Conclusion and Aftermath

The fighting New Syrtis continued until January of 3070, when Chancellor Sun Tzu Liao emerged from the ruins of Imperial Palace. He declared cease fire, however Davion fighters on Syrtis never ceased their attacks as the Liao forces fought a fighting withdrawal from the planet.

Border raids by both sides continued until April 1st, when Duke George Hasek was assasinated, his successor Angela Hasek, his sister declared it offical.

The fighting on New Syrtis claimed 2nd St. Ives Lancers and 3rd Battalion of the Death Commandos as were defender's Syrtis CMM and Donegal Guards.
