They chose to land all together at one site and managed to secure significant resources from a munitions plant prior to its destruction by MAC aerospace assets. The Rangers' commander ordered the unit to stick to roads, but after several ambushes that took advantage of this carefulness, quickly reversed the decision. A portion of the Second Confederation Reserve Cavalry was quickly encircled after their inexperienced commander fell for a false retreat tactic, and were given a chance to surrender. The commander refused, stating he and his troops would fight to the death. The Rangers obliged them, televising the resulting defeat in detail.
