MISSION BRIEFING

A high-ranking WOB officer is escaping. Don’t let him.

Objective: Prevent Escape – In one of the vehicles or ‘Mechs in this convoy is your target. Eliminate all with extreme prejudice.

Foster: It seems that all Word of Blake forces are in full retreat. For all his big talk, it looks like Strader and his boys are running. Better yet, his second in command is moving through our sector to a major base for evac. He’ll be guarded. Just get him. To ambush him, you’re going to need to move fast, with a jump-capable ‘Mech, like a Thor.

Natalia: It won’t be easy, since they’ll be moving in a tight group. Let’s get this guy. Payback, baby.

DURING MISSION

Foster: Sir, you’re badly outnumbered. Stay mobile. You won’t be able to take them head on. Just get the second in command before they escape.

Natalia: Captain, they’ll try to lure you away. Don’t be distracted. Only one thing matters.

Foster: They’re all in Catapult heavy ‘Mechs? To be sure you get the second in command, you’ll need to knock ‘em all out.

Foster: Sir, the Word of Blake is in full retreat. Like amateurs, they’ve probably left something useful.

Foster: Sirs, I…I’m reading multiple signatures. It looks like another convoy!

Natalia: Foster, when you looked at the sensors the first time, you missed a group of massive walking tanks? Captain, get a move on and stop that other convoy.

Strader: Damn mercenaries, you will force me to abandon this world and all it hides. For that, you will face death!

Natalia: Foster, can the Icarus get us off this rock yet?

Foster: No sir, just mobile hops.

Natalia: Captain, return to the Icarus. We’re going to assault this Word of Blake base and stop Strader before he escapes. Payback!
