MMM benefited from the money pouring into the Magistracy from the Capellan Confederation and Duchy of Andurien, doubling production on Canopus IV and Dunianshire. MMM was also able to open two new manufacturing plants, one located on Luxen and another on Ballad II, although the Ballad plant, constructed in the 3090s, experienced a sharp drop in production when Ballad declared itself independent. |

Overview
Majesty Metals and Manufacturing (MMM) is the oldest military-grade manufacturing center in the Magistracy of Canopus, having been formed in 2550. The company took advantage of Canopus's rich ore reserves on the planet and became a civilian vehicle producer. Twenty years after its primary facilities opened, the company expanded to Dunianshire. Just before the Reunification War started, the factories also began to produce combat vehicles and BattleMechs. Neither facility was damaged from the conflict.[1]
During the Amaris Crisis, General Kerensky used Majesty to rearm and re-equip his troops, even going so far as to expand their facilities, including adding DropShip production on Dunianshire. Using these factories allowed him to supply his forces with enough equipment to fight the Rim Worlds Republic.[1]
The Succession Wars were not kind to most of the Magistracy's industries, however, unlike to other in the Magistracy, Majesty Metals survived the conflict.[1] Unfortunately, by 3054 extreme resource mismanagement on Canopus IV led to a depletion of the planet's rich mineral wealth, forcing the import of raw materials. Although the Canopus IV planet continued to produce Locust, Stinger and Wasp 'Mechs, there was concern that the factory would be moved to another world.[2]
During the Succession Wars, Majesty Metals' two complexes were the sole domestic providers of heavy arms to the Magistracy Armed Forces. Since the creation of Detroit Consolidated MechWorks, however, new design work has been shuffled away from Majesty.[1]
In the 3060s, investors from the Capellan Confederation's Liao Commonality enabled Majesty to add more production lines, though the raw materials on Canopus were no longer enough.[1]
The Jihad
After the Jihad erupted, the company managed to obtain plans for the Koschei BattleMech. With aid from Earthwerks Incorporated of Tikonov, they were able to begin limited production for the 'Mech in 3068 at their Dunianshire plant.[3] During the Word of Blake's occupation of Canopus, the Blakists took control of the production lines there and used them rebuild their forces. The Blakist occupiers upgraded the manufacturing lines there, producing using the latest technology. After the Word withdrew from Canopus, the factories' ability to produce their designs was dependent on the importation of high-tech equipment that the Magistracy could not reproduce.[1]
The MMI plant on Canopus was the largest plant in the Magistracy until the creation of Detroit Consolidated MechWorks.[4]
The Dark Age
Majesty Metals and Manufacturing underwent rapid and pronounced growth in the Dark Age, booming alongside the rest of the Magistracy economy in the thirty-second century. MMM benefited from the money pouring into the Magistracy from the Capellan Confederation and Duchy of Andurien, doubling production on Canopus IV and Dunianshire. MMM was also able to open two new manufacturing plants, one located on Luxen and another on Ballad II, although the Ballad plant, constructed in the 3090s, experienced a sharp drop in production when Ballad declared itself independent.[5]
Leadership
The company's CEO from 3025 to 3067 was Gavin Priest-McDonogh.[6]
Manufacturing
Majesty Metals and Manufacturing has manufacturing centers on the following planets:
Ballad II
The plant constructed on Ballad manufactured both BattleMechs and armor, although with Ballad's declaration of independence production dropped sharply.[5]
Canopus IV
During the Jihad, the Canopus plant lost a quarter of its staff and infrastructure. Despite this in 3079 it was operating at full-strength.[7]
Dunianshire
During the Jihad the plant lost none of its infrastructure or staff. It was operating at full speed in 3079.[7]
Luxen
The Luxen plant opened during the Dark Age.[5]
