Ordered to hold an intersection, the lance did so, but against heavier Marian 'Mechs, their light 'Mechs began falling, one after another. After being attacked by a Marian [[Awesome]], Maeve's 'Mech was downed. Deliberately or by accident, the Marian pilot advanced, forcing Maeve to exit from the cockpit. She barely managed to get out before the ''Awesome'''s foot stepped on Maeve's 'Mech's head, crushing it.

After both have been rescued and moved to their [[DropShip]], Maeve's superior congratulated her, but Maeve didn't saw what happened as a success, having lost all her lance's 'Mechs except for one, but specially, her family' mech. Her superior pointed than her 'Mech wasn't gone forever, and than they could retake it someday. Maeve, after being left alone, swore to recover ''Minerva'' one day.<ref>''Winning the battle, Losing the War'' </ref>
