In 2004, after having obtained the full license to what was now "[[Classic BattleTech]]", FanPro launched a new line of German BattleTech novels under the Classic BattleTech moniker. Beyond reprints of the older novel ''[[The Sword and the Dagger]]'' and the [[Warrior Trilogy]], this novel line comprised of new, original stories instead of translating existing American novels. (At this point, the entire English-language novel line for Classic BattleTech had been translated already.) They also took up translations of the MWDA Novel line where Heyne had left off.
