Joseph Davion II (2864 – 2935) was the son of Michael Davion by his second marriage, to Katherine O'Connell. A warrior prince, he spend most of his reign on the frontlines of the Third Succession War.
Biography
A charismatic leader, Joseph made frequent trips to the frontlines to bolster morale. Unwilling to take advice or to delegate authority, his absences from New Avalon almost paralyzed the goverment of the Federated Suns.
Joseph was persuaded to accept a ceasefire with the Capellan Confederation in 2905, which was maintained for twenty-five years. Among the provisions of the armistice was a ban on attacking jumpships, a precedent that would last long after he and his son Peter Davion resumed attack on the Confederation.
