Description
J-27 is common Inner Sphere and Periphery states ammunition transport unit made of tractor and a trailer. Each J-27 can carry enough ammo for a single Mech Lance, that is 11 tons. Trailer can carry up 8 tons of cargo with additional 1 ton of armor while tractor can carry up to 3 tons of cargo with only half ton of armor. It's enough to withstand infantry attacks and weakest battlefield weapons, but nothing more, therefore crews of J-27s are collected from punished soldiers or even criminals with death sentence. Turret-mount Machine Gun can defend vehicle from small-arms attacks for long enough to allow it's escape.
Variants
- K-27 "Killjoy" Federated Suns combat variant designed to look exactly as regular J-27 while mounting Missile Launcher and an additional armor.
