Description[edit]

Not to be confused with Inferno Missiles, Incendiary LRMs were initially developed during the Terran Hegemony and saw use until the later Succession Wars. Usage was stopped due to the widespread destruction the rampant fires would cause, until the Free Worlds League started production again in 3050.[1]

Incendiary LRMs are mixed in with normal LRM missiles (similar to tracers) to improve the flight's chance of igniting buildings and terrain while also slightly improving their effectiveness against infantry.

Unfortunately, they are not any more effective against armor due to chemicals simply sliding off, do not affect the target's heat level, and lower the launcher's effectiveness by 20%, while still being vulnerable to heat-induced ammunition explosions, similar to Inferno ammo.[2]
