Fighting a duel on Galatea with downpowered weapons for a command position in Kirkpatrick's Bandit Killers, Trent Hasseldorf reminisces about his falling-out with his noble father Daniel Hasseldorf and how, after being admonished for losing a family-owned Zeus in an ambush, he finally stood up against his father and decided to earn his position in life. He wins the fight in the end, proving to himself that he is finally growing up.
