The Gaeri Red Oak is a non-Terran tree native to the world of Gaeri.[1]
Description[edit]
The Gaeri Red Oak is a truly enormous plant. Gaeri's low gravity and long growing seasons allow the trees to reach stupendous heights. Many have been recorded at being over two hundred meters. The wood from the tree is also noted to be dense and resilient. These qualities make it useful for a variety of purposes. In fact, some units of the 149th Mechanized Infantry Division of the Star League Defense Force would replace panels and non-load-bearing parts with custom items made from the red oak. As an example, the unit's commander had the command couch of her Warhammer partially refit with the darkly-stained wood.[1]
