First Battle of Hesperus II

Operation Broken Blade was a major assault launched on Hesperus II by the Draconis Combine in 2787 in an attempt to destroy the Lyran Commonwealth's ability to manufacture war materials. The attack destroyed the orbiting shipyards but failed to overcome the ground defenses. The attackers withdrew in January, having suffered more casualties than they had dealt out[1].
