First Battle of Hesperus II

In 2787 the Draconis Combine launched a major assault on Hesperus II in an attempt to destroy the Lyran Commonwealth's ability to manufacture war materials. The attack destroyed the orbiting shipyards but failed to overcome the ground defenses. The attackers withdrew in January, having suffered more casualties than they had dealt out[1].
